Good logo. Not sure if British Steel is still around. Was it re-branded Corus? Anyway, the logo is bold, striking and iconic. It is a stylish brand with bucket loads of value.

This logo has always been attributed to David Gentleman the british designer most known for his stamps. However, it was originally designed by an art director in Watford called Brian Waterton. The logo was designed for a steel company which was then combined with another steel company to form British Steel in 1967 (this is why the logo is dated 1966, not 1967). David Gentleman would have inherited the original two link design when British Steel was founded. Not important information really, just that Brian Waterton is my grandfather!
