The idea for your symbol is interesting but the curves are incredibly rough. Definitely work to smooth these out. The main font doesn't particularly do anything for me. It's just kind of bland. The gradient has to go on DESIGN. It disappears. The little line above design isn't adding anything so I would remove that and try to work more with the size and placement of design. Right now it just looks like it was just stuck there. Keep playing with it, especially the symbol of the a and c. There's potential there. Keep it up!
Agreed on all of Jon's points. I didn't even see the "design" until moments aftewards. I would simply remove it altogether.
The main logo shows a lack of sketching. I would practice your form of the A/C combination until you have a better idea of how to translate it to a logo.
Sorry, but I don't feel any inspiration behind this logo. There's not much happening. More than probably due to a lack of research and sketching.
I would get back to the drawing board and start doodling on paper a few ideas. And by few I mean hundreds =) That's how cool ideas come.
