Brief from client
Self Drive Car and Bike Rental Company
The logo uses both a car and bike, as both are available for rent.
In the middle there is a road, to signify travel.
I thought the client insisted on handlebars? Regarding my comments, I would have kept them, and simplified the logo by getting rid of the extra bits. This unfortunately does not read well at all. The main font is interesting, but it's commanding 90% of visual interest.
I did remove the handlebars, after listening to the review i got for them.
Also, they are planning on intoducing cars also in their scheme of things, so added it to the logo to signify so.
Will refine the proportions a bit to make it look better.
Actually, I'd go the other way with this one. Rather than spend a lot of time making something sketchy look more refined, I'd do the opposite and roughen up things a bit. I think it might make things seem more lively and fun.
That approach certainly has merit in the right situation, but usually I'd like the style to be consistent. So the text would have to be a bit rough as well.
I'm frankly not sure what to suggest, since there aren't any handlebars in this version, a requirement that was previously mentioned.
Good effort to break away from the problems with the last version, but I'm not a fan of the symbol, it's a bit unrefined as others have pointed out. No problems with the font other than I think there might be a better choice for the secondary one, but I don't have a ready recommendation, good balance on them though. Colors, I really like the color combo, however they are Hertz colors and this logo is in the same market so I would recommend a different scheme.
Colors have been kept such cuz most taxi and for hire services use this color palette traditionally. So, using the same colors to inform (the customers) by association.

This is a step in the wrong direction, I feel.

This looks like it was live traced in illustrator.
If you live trace your own artwork, that is fine, but you need to spend a lot of time refining it so it doesn't look like it was live traced.

Also, I gotta say it:

Will work on the same.

Will experiment with the secondary font.
