This is my option 2.
This is the only other color scheme I was looking at for this logo. I haven't spent a lot of time thinking about the colors just yet.
Brands of the World is the home for the largest library of freely downloadable vector logos, yearly logo awards celebrating the best identities and a logo critique community.

I don't like this symbol. Looks unfinished. Also you can't really print this color in CMYK. It's better to avoid such neon colors.
Never avoid colours you can't use in cmyk that's bad advice. Just make sure you have an alternative that doesn't destroy the brand. There's always PMS colours. But if you do use these colours just don't expect them to work if your client has a small budget for printing.
