Blue Dragon

Brief from client

This is just an idea for a new graphic design company, they requested blue and a easy font. I really didn't want the origami logo to get to complex drawing. Im not sure if it is too busy, but I like the look and feel.

I like this.

I'm not sure the blue dot is necessary and the dragon might be a bit too complex.

I love this logo, but it's too complicated right now, and by that I mean the thin lines towards the dragonfly's legs and the two left wings. Try doing a pose with the dragonfly's wings SPREAD OUT - It makes more sense anyway since dragonflies usually have their wings spread or behind themselves verses straight up in the air lol:

Here's an example: http://goo.gl/s4MN5

Also any set of triangles thats smaller than the ones at the tip of the tail should be removed, since they would just make it look a little jumbled. Try the spacing and size of your trianges like you did here. I think that type of line spacing should be through out consistently. That way the eye doesn't have to strain too much with the harshly thin lines.

Another Idea for you. Take out the word "DRAGON" and have the dragon fly sit in place of the "L" in "Blue". Almost like it's flying through the text, Let the dragonfly be your "L" and with that long tail you should be able to pull it off. That way it still spells "Blue Dragon" but without the literal spelling.

Also remove the black background and try to stick with white. That way you get a better visual on your shapes. and so we can just focus on your logo.

I love it. I don't mind that it is complex because the idea is simple. Sometimes, detail works, and in this case I think it does. As Putz said, the dot is not needed. This arrangement works better than the horizontal version.
