Brief from client
We are considering using alternate spelling for our brand.
boUUnd or Bound
I am intentionally not providing any additional information about the brand. It would nice to hear what people think without attaching specific expectations about it.
Looking for more pointers about the logo design and font

Sorry, but as it is, it's unreadable. If you didn't mention it in the brief, I would have never read "Bouund". At best, the middle character looks like an X.
The idea for the double "u"s is good but its unreadable as a logo at first sight, especially because it does form a regular word without it. I thought it said "bond" I would work on making the "u" your symbol and just having a regular u in the typography.
I agree, the symbol looks like an X, not 2 U's. Also - double U's ... are W's. So it would read BoWnd.
Your original question was "can you tell what we do from the logo?" And, unfortunately, I don't think the logo tells an understandable story.
Because you posed the question, I'm trying to read into the symbol and all I can see is - maybe - a waterfall or path. So it could be a play on "adventure bound", but that is REALLY a stretch. And, as noted above, I would not know it was supposed to say BOUND or BOWND or BOUUND without you telling me in the brief.
No it does not translate into any identafible industry. All iI read is BOXXND.
I'm agree with all... it's not readable
This is not a logo - it is a font with a butchered center. That center part is an attempt for a Russian " ZH ", but without any success...
I see a dismantled paper clip in a center. Time to start sketching some ideas for that center part. Without that resolution - there is no way this can be qualified as a logo. Also, " O " looks a bit strange and not uniform with the rest.
Agree, it is not readable. The double U idea can be treated differently.
If you just move that U down so the top one is level with the rest of the word... what happens? Can you read it then? I keep thinking to myself that maybe you can.
I could read Bound right away, but I seem to be the minority. Does this help?
I read "Bound" right away as well.
Glad I wasn't alone. :)
Get a room you two =)
Hey! I'm just being honest :(
Haha
Hello everyone!
Your feedback and insight is greatly appreciated! Definitely gave us a new perspective. We decided to scrap the new symbol and go with our old mark .
Let me know what you guys think
Without knowing what this is for it's hard to say. If it has some thing to do with bondage, it works, if it's for a daycare center i'd say no. I do like the leterforms though.

An " o " reads " a " to me.What is the meaning of two twisted x's above " u "?
Sorry for taking a liberty to play with your logo concept - I came up with this one.
My apology for a rough sketch by using my Paint program.
