they want the logo symbol to be a tree abstraction and the color to reflect the mix between nature and artificial

I think the shape isn't great yet. It's too broken up and feels sick. The font isn't good either. Colors work.

I like the concept you've come up with here. The colours really work, though i would darken up the green just a little bit. The typography and font choice is clean and easy to read. I' not sure about the tree though. I have to agree with BOTW that it appears a little sick. Maybe try putting leaves on it.
