Brief from client
It's an attempt to create something cool and elegant looking for myself. Let's say it's for practice mostly.
I don't know why but when I'm looking at it, it reminds me of some kind of chocolate :(
The "by" seems interfering everything. I made it dark because it's not important but it doesn't look so great. Just get rid of it?
On this background my name also seems too dark.
I'm so temped to put here my other versions of it but I'm not going to spam.

also you might want to do the design in B&W first then when it works colorize it :)

MAN am I ever coming off as a b!tch in this one! But I gotta be honest- this is painfully bad (to me). If I saw this on any kind of advertisement for a designer of anything I would run the other direction.
It's way too dark (and I'd rather see it without a background color!), I don't understand the benefits of a plain/boring looking script font, I don't understand the fades on the font, nor do I understand the slight drop shadow behind everything.
I would start over- way over. If you love the G fading into the A I guess try to work that into your new design (assuming you make a new logo) but maybe have something more unique, more aesthetically pleasing? I just really don't like anything about this logo and I would seriously consider starting over with something that would make people WANT you to do work for them!!
