Earth-themed logo

Brief from client

2 colors
lowercase font
symbol representing the earth

KEYWORDS : eco / natural / life / earth / nature / home / love / mindset / recycle / re-use

-- The clients company promotes eco-friendly products. ( paper bags etc ).

-- Words from the client : " Starting with the simple step of bringing your own reusable cloth bag to shop may seem trivial, but it creates a "mindset." Like anything, the more people who take this simple step, the more it becomes the natural and right thing to do. "

Since the clients asks for the earth to be represented and the theme is eco/bio etc , I think its easy to fall prey to cliche / generic / cookie-cutter logos.

This is what I am trying to avoid.
How much do you think I acomplished my goal?

I have made several versions but the site doesnt allow multiple versions of the logo in one image, strange...

Sorry this is not really working for me. the idea isn't half bad, but the execution is failing to deliver. First off, it feels that you made this directly on the computer, without any sketching before hand, which is for me the most crucial step of the creative process.

Putting some kind of world map in a logo can be tricky as it's full of small details that you don't really have control on. Drawing brain lines over that makes the whole thing even more complicated.

I say, grab a pen an a piece of paper, use your computer only to find cool inspiration from other designer (having a Pinterest account is a must) and sketch, sketch, sketch and sketch again. Find the best way to translate graphically that good idea you have.

Keep it up!

In fact every single one of them started as a sketch.
But it's not working for me either. I'll do some more.

At first glance I thought of an attempt to challenge that iconic poster featuring Bob Dylan...
