We are working on this concept for our new logo. It needs to be professional as we work with large corporations and professionals.

too much horizontal stuff going on there, try go rounder and diagonal with the lines to create some activity. the font is hard to read and the symbol alone is just a guess of E. colors are fine but the logo has not very much personality....
Did I see that E before? Esprit glasses I think also use the E without a vertical line. I do agree with hueroth about the horizontal stuff... although it looks kind of clean and professional. Overall, really not bad!
