Nice. The "e" color might make more sense being the same color as "fyre" and not so sure if an airline would want any word similar to "fire" in their name. The "e" might be better with the third color created between the red and blue in the critter.

Thanks, I'll change the "e" to red.

Anything else?

Well, just thinking about branding an actual plane with this logo and the negative spaces between the letters might need to be greater to allow for better readability from a distance.

I am treating this as if it were an airline bc that was in yr brief, even though no airline would name themselves that. "Flying Fire"??? Really?? : P....

Anyway- As said above- the words need to stick to their own color."Fyr efly"?? Really?? : P....

The symbol has 3 outlines. I would at least get rid of the center one where you played with the opacity. This would be way too unstructured for a symbol for an airline. Airlines need to be taken seriously. So a logo that looks childish with a name that conveys Flying Fire isn't going to cut it. If nothing else, the symbol would need to make up for the name. Which in itself would be a good exercise.
Same goes for the text. Anything that gives the viewer a feel of wrecking or crashing.. even subconsciously... is not going to work.
Using Red White and Blue is really the only thing that worked. For an airline, and instilling trust, etc. I think that works.

So, you can go the easy route and just change your brief to a product that this would work for.
OR- use this as an exercise- given a horrible name for an airline and have to overcome that using your deign chops. : )

Good Luck- let's see the next version.

Fully agree with all of the above. Although I do like where the type is going I feel it is looking very similar to other budget airlines like flybe which also has a very similar name. Are you sure you weren't 'inspired' by this?

I do not like the symbol at all, kick this to the curb now as it is too childish, not all logos need a symbol so keep this in mind. If you do really want a symbol put some real thought into how simple you can make it! Simple single
lines that can be used as plan wraparounds and on boarding passes etc etc

Hope this was of some help, wasn't meant to be a put down because I do quite like it, its just not there yet.

I like the feel of the logo in the thumbnail, but you need to work out the details. Better illustration, better typography. Also, fireflies tend to glow which is not happening right now.

Reminds me a little of new 'syfy logo' minus graphic mark.
Your mark sucks badly, try to come up with a different solution.
