No breif, I just went for it! =)
Poke is a Hawaiian dish of raw fish served in a bowl, often with rice or other veggies. I know a fish made into a bowl is not a new idea, but here it just fit so darn well! So, I tried to make sure I designed a kooky fish that is distinctively mine. Yep, he has eyelashes! And he's clearly having fun.
Technically I think it is pronounced like "po-kay" but I still love this name!
Also, the kerning on Hawaiian looks crazy to me- is it just me?

Oh how stinkin cute.
My one critique: The font doesn't match the playfulness of your logo.
I get that maybe you were going for a contrast, but I think this is...too straight forward. I think you can find something a little more rounded and friendlier, especially for poke.
Also. I would suggest possibly changing the color of your fish. Poke doesn't really have red in it anyways. And the red and white, from a distance, almost looks like a Pokeball from Pokemon, and the font definitely wasn't helping that.
Otherwise, this is very adorable and well made.
Do you have a color suggestion? The dishes I looked at had some red fish in them, so I went with it.
As for the font- we actually changed to a kookier font for their store front sign now. But I initially thought this balanced out the goofy fish.

I say stay in the red family, but use something more subtle. In a lot of Poke dishes I see more salmons, lighter reds, stuff closer to oranges, etc. There's even raw tuna, but I don't think that purple/grey color would look good.
I don't think you should go too kooky. But I think something slightly more rounded/softer would really help this along.

Good start! I'd remove all the black strokes, it would look awesome!
