Brief from client
Create a logo for our new video technique brand named HDtec.
Client wanted a little more plastic look.
Brands of the World is the home for the largest library of freely downloadable vector logos, yearly logo awards celebrating the best identities and a logo critique community.

The symbol is great and achieved the look your client wanted. The horizontal plane skewed by HD and TEC is a little disturbing.
Version 2 looks much better, without the outlines in this version. They are very discreet, and they won't show on small print. And I still think you should fill the little space bellow "TEC"
