Don't switch colors in the type by overlapping a shape. Just looks tacky.
I would chose a sans serif font for this. The peacock gives an organic feel, while sans serif feels more harsher. Maybe it's just me. Either way, subtext needs to be aligned with the upper line better.
Also, I can't help but wonder if that peacock is a clipart image. Is it?
Are you not the designer? The purpose of this forum is for designers to post works in progress, to seek opinions and advice from other designers about how to best develop their projects. If this logo is something that someone designed for you, and is considered a finished product, this not the place to present it.
I dunno, I'd be happy to critique any logo tbh.. with certain exceptions, but i get what you're saying. The hope is that it's work in progress and hasn't been published, otherwise it's a pointless exercise.
Anyway, I agree with what Killswitch says and it is a good looking peacock.. or peahen :) What did happen to that other person's peacock/hen?
On top of killswitches advice, I'd personally remove the final 'stray' straightish feather at the top on the right hand side, coming out of its ass.. for obvious reasons :)
Hello all, thank you again for the comments. I'm not the designer, it is currently in process of being updated. The people I'm working with unfortunately have mislead me and are giving me a hard time with revisions. It was a lot worse believe me. I didn't realize this site was for designers only. I'd appreciate as many feedback as possible. Also, can you recommend other fonts that may go well with this bird. I was also thinking of perhaps using a fern leaf type logo instead. Please advise. Thanks very much.

Thanks for your comment. Very helpful. The peacock is not a clip art. This logo was designed professionally.

The things some people notice....haha. Now I can't unsee it...
Hehe what can I say! Also the 'L' that it's perched on makes it look like it has massive clown feet.
The feathers need more uniformity? They don't reduce well in my opinion and maybe need a bit more space between them.

Hi,
Would you mind designing a logo for me?
