Brief from client
Consultants/buyers for Interior Designers to source home decor/ art in Asia
Please use a variety of colours and I am looking for a logo which reflects creativity and is not too structured.
I would like something colourful and bright. it could take inspiration from paint swooshes or splotches.

Sometimes it's way more difficult to understand client's recommendations on how to do your job than to interpret their real needs. It happens with logos, websites, posters, etc.
Most clients are not experienced designers and that's why they have to hire one. Have you asked them why they want you to use "swooshes or splotches" in you proposal? I can see you are not using them.
Well, she said to use them for inspiration. I interpreted that as her example of something unstructured. I basically created something abstract and unstructured from a structured graphic. I didn't take that too literally...plus I wanted to create something more unique than a splotch.
I definitely know what you are saying about understanding what the client is trying to get across. more often than not they can't articulate exactly what they want. That's why they need us! But, I think I came close here... apparently she did to.
Probably, it is not necessary to use such quantity of elements in a sign, how you consider? If it is necessary web 2.0, bright colors with shine probably would approach?
It's a good idea. Just reduce the number of petals, hence the number of colors.
I prefer the first version. This one looks too washed out..
Like the typography and the knocked backed colours, far better than the first attempt as its not so bras, shows confidence! But I feel you've been a little lazy with petals. you've created 1 set then flipped/rotated them a bit and it looks like a reflection. Also far too many petals, you could reduce this to 8 or 12 and would be far better. Think how this will look small or as we discuss on numerous other logos, how it will look in black and white! I would really like to see how it looks because at present it will be very mid to light grey.
Nice typography btw although the "S" looks a bit squished?
Hope this is of some use!
Thanks for the feedback. After I did this I did go back and try to do it the time consuming way : )... I could never quite get it to look quite right and always went back to this. This had a sort of offset feel if that makes sense. Being meticulous with it made it lose the loose feel. Then when I loosened it up it just looked like this. But less petals might cure that. I'll give it a try. And just for fun- here it is in gray scale.
Cruicial point of your brief... "is not too structured".
One word for you - simplify.
Rummaged in the Internet, has come across a logo of salon of lady's wear "Mood", Moscow, it has reminded something to me
There's more resemblance between Ford and Carrier logos than between these two. Anyway, it's just that: resemblance.
Thanks.. I didn't want to be the one to say it.
