Maybe the circles and also the cutouts will have different color?
Try to modify the font to a stronger one?
i think for a fun project, it's safe. i dont know what else there is but perhaps you can stay away from the atom type of look and still come up with a great idea. not bad though.
It's a good idea, but you have to simplify. And it's a very puzzling organisation.
