The hardest thing to achieve in graphic design is to make a really creative, simple & clean logo with a strong visual impact.
If creativity is indeed your field of expertise you need to try harder and create something unique.
True, I agree with every single word! I was thinking in something WAAAAAAAAAYS simpler than that, like just the lines of a microchip using a simple type ! Keep it Simple method! Got it!
I have to agree with the other comments that the light bulb is a little cliche for a creative agency. Another thing to consider is the complexity of the 'circuit board' lines and dots... how well will they reproduce when the logo is smaller.

Right now, if you were to ditch the bulb and just leave the type you would be better off.

Yes, I was saying that earlier. I think you should expand on that idea. It will be a complex symbol, so keep the rest minimal. Should work.
