Logo design for Garden State Dispensary

Brief from client

Garden State Dispensary cultivator of medical cannabis. Cannabis leaf is not allowed in design. Style: masculine, mature, sophisticated

The plan is to develop logo that has a character of natural. Not too modern.

I prefer the previous version to this one. The arc of Jersey's Finest clashes with the round symbol. I also don't know that I would add the italic to Dispensary.

Italic is removed. After some time I also prefer upright letter. With no-logical arc position, I'm exploring some solutions. Also, got feedback on last design that logo doesn't have a masculine character so I try with changing typeface.

The inspiration behind icon is upside down cannabis that is represented by vertical strokes and wind which is dry out cannabis.

Thank You for critics!

This symbol is cool- but I think I prefer your original version. The type (to me) was great in version 1, the symbol was the main item not feeling masculine. I suggest you revisit that one and maybe create a new or modify your symbol for it.

As far as I'm concerned, this is my favorite of the two.

I'm not a fan of the "dispensary" in italic, as it kinda goes against the grain of the general verticality of the logo.

Good job!

it could be that the women are attracted to version 1 and the men to version 2...which would beg the question, is their clientele more men than women, vice versa, or 50/50.

^^ Good point!
My only prob was what you mentioned- the arched text over the round symbol looks off to me.
