Logo for an upcoming videogame

Brief from client

Logo is a concept logo for a new upcoming RPG video game based on capturing monsters' souls and battles between them. The silhouette cutout from the main piece is of one of the monsters from the game. (VERSION 2)

try to make the cutout smoother. You can easily achieve this by using the smooth tool in Illustrator and go around the rough edges of the silhouette. I am not really sold on the colors but that could be just me. Still doesn't look like a video game logo to me. maybe make an entire new drawing. Can you make a screenshot of some in-game screenshots? Maybe you could match the style of it with your logo.

This may be a bit harsh- but this looks like you used the live trace option and hit save. Done in maybe 30 seconds, and only on the computer. And what are the 2 orange dots? If they are eyes, then this is one weird looking creature. But no one would know because right now he's a jagged 1/2 assed blob!

Also (and anyone who knows me, knows this is one of my big pet- peeves) if you have a title cap in your text, it always looks better if the stroke weights still match. Otherwise, it's obvious that you just made that letter bigger.

What this needs is more of your time- more thought, more sketches, more research, more detail, etc.

I'm with Joy on this one. All I get from this is that it's poorly thought through and rushed. It clearly lacks a few hours of research, inspiration and sketching.

I definitely commented on your first one, but it appears to not have posted.

This game is basically Monster Hunter meets Pokemon based on the description, but that's besides the point.

This does nothing for me as a game logo. You have all the freedom in the WORLD with gaming logos. They don't have to follow barely ANY design rules, because of how you can graphically integrate the "logo" with the game.

This is boring, flat, and uninspired. The font reminds of 2002 Playstation era games.

You need to do a ton of research on video game logos, and really pay attention to which popular games have a successful design.

Monster Hunter, Fallout, Horizon Zero Dawn, Bioshock, Overwatch, and nearly all Nintendo games come to mind when I envision successful game designs that were easily franchised.
