Brief from client
Media company "ventrix".
New startup, name originated from "venture".
Company will provide media strategy advice.
New version, any thoughts much appreciated!

Now we're talking! This already looks a hundred times better than version 1.
The symbol is pretty cool. Simple and memorable. What I would have done though is to continue the splitting line down to the bottom of the square.
What isn't working yet is the font work. The subtext "media" is way too prominent compared to the word mark. And the two fonts really don't compliment each other. Try to have the length of the name match the width of the square, so the symbol doesn't totally kill the word mark visually.
Color wise, you're good. These subtle shades are really cool.
A bit more work and you'll have yourself a pretty good logo.

Looking good. The increased shading is definitely helping. I had agreed about the splitting of the bottom square in a diff. version, still agree, would at least try.
and add the same shading at the top to the bottom.
Media is off center and is still too large. If you really want to use that font increase the tracking and decrease the pt. size.
Or switch to something extended that will go with Ventrix like Eurostile Extended 2. But make smaller.
