Brief from client
Hi guys. Here's a an idea for a new logo for my cousin's restaurant in Paris.
It's been sketched and vectorized, no font used.
Tell me what you guys think. It's not exactly what I was aiming for in terms of general style. I'm more into a vintage type of thing but I came up with this and I really like it.

I love the the look of this thing and I love that this is all from scratch. It does look like some of the lines and corners could be cleaned up unless your intention is to have it look that way. The "i" is the only object with hard corners so I would say round those off to be uniform. Other than that this has a really cool character for a restaurant and it reminds me of the type of wrought iron fences you see in restaurant patios. :)
As my first comment in what feels like YEARS!.... Allow me to say: I love it! Gorgeous lines, gorgeous negative space. :D For some reason I could see it burned into wood.
Seams a fish restaurant :P. Really grate. Just I will make the corner of the L rounded like other letters and let it as a vectorized sketches, gives the idea like we are here from a long time
you make your cousins happy :)
Great stuff Shawali. I would definitely try to round it off a bit, but the basic thing is there. You could give it more of a vintage feel, by putting it in a shape or something, but would that be right for the brand? I don't know the background or cuisine, so can't really make a judgement.
Well done man!
I really like this! other than everyone elses suggestions I have nothin! Great Work!
Great job!
I simply love the smooth flow of the lines, great job!
Thanks for the comments guys. Unfortunately, my cousin isn't really sold on this one. He says it makes him think of a cleaver.
I'll try to develop a brief identity around this logo to see if he changes his mind, but I have other ideas to develop as well. I'll keep you guys posted.
Again, thanks!
That's a shame, but I'll look forward to seeing the new version ;)
