Brief from client
logo for agency graphic design and advertising based on CMYK color "Magenta"
I'm 50/50 on this logo. There are some strong points, but also some things to change.
First, I'm not sure what your symbol is supposed to represent, outside of what appears to simply be a M/P combination. What's the double meaning here? Pages of a book? Maybe tweak this a bit.
Second, The main font. While it's super sharp, I feel like it's starting to become overused. The subfont also doesn't pair well with the top. They contrast quite a lot. Also, watch your kerning. The last A almost looks like a second word.
Now, the color is obviously the most important and obvious quality, and I think you've nailed it pretty well here. I might like to see it without a gradient, as you should always plan for flat colors. But it shouldn't deviate too much.
I'm not entirely sold on the brand name, since it seems as generic as the CMYK print shop gimmick, but that's really beside the issue. The point is, your goal is to give it a fresh look to look past that. That's my opinion, anyway.
This is not working for me. It looks like it's been done in under 10 minutes, with no real concept to back it up, hence the dead pan symbol which represents nothing beside the M of magenta.
The choice of fonts isn't bad but it's butchered by the terrible kerning.

I hope this is not a real agency.
Sorry. Try something else
