The News needed a rebrand to separate itself from its competitor in the city. They want their new brand to be clean, corporate, and authoritative, but also honest, engaging, and community-driven.
The new look was also to improve the public's perception and solidify its place as the main trusted news source in the community.

I like this one. Just don't use a illustrator brush. Make it really sharp and you might have a good symbol (which is not a complete logo)
