Brief from client
hello, I'm a student media from the netherlands. I would like to have feedback on my personal logo
Core values: down to earth, dependable & creative
Archetype: Creator
I really like where this is going! It has a nice hand made feel, and I like that it is not the typical name/initials warped together.
Little tweaks- I would like the bottom of the B and maybe the tail of the lower case n to break out of the box a bit more. The B is sitting right on the line and it creates a tension point.
Otherwise, nice job! =)
Sorry but this is not working at all for me. The signature thing can be a good idea but at the end of the day, it still has to be legible and this logo definitely isn't. And even if this is your real life signature, you still have to work on each caracter and curve like you would on a custom typography based logo.
I don't really see the utility of the frame, it just adds to the general complexity of the whole thing.
The subtext feels totally disconnected for the rest. It also adds a third level of thickness, on top of of the signature and the frame.
Personally, I didn't find it illegible. I immediately read it as Nien B
I think we should also be taking into account: This isn't our language. Its possible the characters and letters are completely recognizable to someone in the Netherlands, but to us it looks confusing.
I had no problem with legibility either. I thought it was kinda nice. However, I'll admit after taking a second glance- I see the end points of the B are really smooth and rounded- and the Nien are a bit jagged. I think they need to match up.

This is definitely the better one out of all of your options. Much more personable.
