Personal brand

First, I would get rid of the pencil. It can stand on its own as a cool signature, and it doesn't need to lean on graphic design imagery to get the point across.

Second, I would highly recommend getting your hands on a tablet if possible and developing these initials on an actual handmade mark. It will feel a hundred times more organic, as well as unique. It feels a bit too rigid and forced right now.

^^^ I agree 100% with the above. Right now your "dot" is a perfect circle (and a bit too large) and your A is perfectly symmetrical while your J has uneven curves. It looks exactly like you used the mouse and made large stroke weights. If you can do this by hand, it will have so much more character! So, much that as stated above, no pencil will even be necessary! Borrow one if you have too! =)

Me, too, agree with above comments. Love your idea here. I was thinking if you could duplicate your " J " one more time in a place where it merges with a right leg of " A " ( while looking straight at a screen ) and then curve it out, as you did on " A " - that way you would get a lower case " a " and it would look better in my humble opinion. Nevertheless, very good take off!

I agree with the previous comments do it by hand , give it a unique touch to your logo.
The previous comment gave me a similar idea , but only combine the "J " with the left leg of the "A".
