Possible stock logo

Brief from client

No brief. I am looking at the possibility of making logos for stock and am looking for honest feedback of wether I am on the right track. I do not want to make stuff that looks crap and would really appreciate some critique.

This is a fictional company...i'm not really sure what possessed me to make a ninja fish and i've no idea what sort of company may use it as a logo. Your critique is greatly appreciated. Is this good enough for stock?

I cant decide which way around to have the fish facing? any thoughts on this would help me. Thank you for your time.

Left to right is usually the best for western design. It's nice even though I'm not big fan of the stock logos, they look too much like... well stock logos. I like the font you have chosen, however don't rely on the computer for kerning unless it is supposed to read "Steal Thy Fish". Good color choice, but for a presentation maybe use a white or much lighter grey background, grey and orange tend to 'vibrate' when put together like this.

Haha, 'steal thy fish'. I never noticed that but now you've pointed it out it is glaringly obvious. In fact I think 'Steal Thy Fish' is a much better ficticious title ;)

Very helpful critique, thank you both very much.
