Brief from client
General Logo for holding company
I do like the colors i had, just made the pink to a more magenta color.
This is very, very wrong. Color scheme is a disaster. Type/graphic treatment is a disaster. How about next time they tell you to go for a logo you just ignore it and go play some nice video game?
Sorry, you were actually better off with the last one, and that wasn't really going places. Lets just take gradients out of your design bag o' tricks completely for your next one. Start in all black. If it works in 1 color you are doing something right. Also, you won't be tempted to add bells and whistles that don't belong. One step at a time. There are a lot of resources out there. Take advantage.
Fully agree with G13 Design. The last one had promise but this one has nothing going for it. Typography is awful and you seem set on using the pink and the green despite them clashing horribly. Best advice is to get a sketchbook and pen and just draw then when on computer like above create it in black and white. If it works like that then explore colour options. Good luck and keep going!
