I think you at very least need to take out a lot of things: I'd take out the gradient in the text, the shadow of the slipping dude, and the stroke/shadow on the text.
The dude does look really clip-arty, which you might want to change! Also, the colors don't do anything for me. Not to say that oranges and greens can't go together, but these are both so bright that (for my eyes anyway) they just don't work together. (These bright colors often don't print how you want them either- the light coming through the screen when you look at it on a computer isn't there when you're printing on paper!)
Also I'm not a HUGE fan of the font, but it's not terrible. I think you should just go back to the drawing board and think of something new! Maybe play with the font and make one of the letters look like it's slipping or about to slip!? It's just so darrn straight forward here- a guy slipping and "hey we're the slip medic", you know?
Have a beer or two and sit down with a pencil and just start tossing out ideas! I think you could do better than this, something less straight forward- and try some new colors!!

Seems like simple clip art with simple type and lots of styles...
Try to refine it to be a clean, simple logo that speaks for its self.
