Hi there I back again with my old idea of the logo for my cartoon serie.
I sketched again and vectorized the first idea I shown last year.
Now you can kill it :-)
I'm working on a cartoon (stripes and animation) called Sub Marine Sky ambiented on a beach and my main difficult is to find a good logo. I already worked on it with some guys here in BOTW so I upload the last steps cause I hope to find the right way.
They look too much street styled. I'm not sure that this is what I want. Attach some characters that show the taste of my project: funny, crazy and NOT for children but for adults.

In my opinion there is a distinction between an illustration or a logo.
One rule of a logo is that it has to be readable almost instantly. It took me 1 minute to understand what was written, and I had to look the description.
I see you did a lot of work for this one ...
Well, since it's a graphic title for a TV show, if I remember well, it's ok for the logo to be a bit more complex than your usual corporate logo.
That being said, you have a major problem of legibility here. For the life of me, I can make out what the word in the middle is.
I'm not a fan of the composition which looks centered but then "sky" is on the left, which puts the whole thing off balance.
I like how wiggly the whole thing look, that's something you totally nailed. The colors are fun and well applied.
Now you just need to simplify things a bit, maybe with less symbols everywhere. That would be something I would give you hell for if it was for more classic logo, but again, since it's a for telly, you're free of certain basic rules. But not of the ones concerning readability.
Anyway, keep up the good work, this logo looks like it can be really fun.
So are you meaning that if i Change the "A" from a board to a letter it could be better or what else?
Do you suggest to delete tha water below "SUB" too?

Ok, I just realize that it's more unreadble than I thought. I read "Jub Waving Sky" =)
I think it's not just the A you have to change, it's the whole word.
I agree with Charlie here. You've got the look down, but the words were super difficult to make out for me.
You guys are meaning something like this?
Definitely a step in the right direction.
"Marine" is still a bit hard to catch on a glimpse, but that M doesn't look like a W now =)
Maybe try to add some more space between each word.
I have always liked the 'Sub' portion of this!
I like it because the 'U' is interesting, has personality, and isn't even close to hard to read. It is a U, and it is in your style, and it is glorious.
It is letters like the 'A' and the 'N' in Marine that are hard to read. They are attempting to be things, and once letters are things it gets complicated. Turning just those two letters into just normal letters would increase legibility so much in this logo it would be madness!
Also, I think that 'k' in sky would benefit from having it's back snapped the other direction. It would be more obviously a k that way!

If you could change a bottle into a bright green to make letter " i " pop up more. I think that four clouds are too many for my taste. Don't really get that stuff under " SUB ", what is that for - it makes clutter. Then all these drips under " mare " looks more as light bulbs than anything. Flying lid from a bottle could use some work, too. Bottom line - " marine " part looks very tight versus freely done " SUB " and " SKY ".
OK guys this is the end.
I must to decide what to do at last.
I attache this logo in two different versions plus some alternatives already tested in a small audience. These are some font test for a simple logo like "the simpsons" logo.
The job done till now looks not for an adult target but it seems better for a children target, and that's not what I want.
Can you vote for one o these logos?

I prefer a " b " logo, it looks much cleaner.
So you don't prefer o e of the script below?
The drips and splashes are subtle enough to fade away with that background, so I say A.
As for the bottom. I like 11, but I would like it to follow the colour schemes of the others. Yellow with a black shadow.

A & 8 (with a wider tracking it'd be even better. It's the option which look the most consistent with the fully developed logo)
Sorry, I was not clear. I meant that the choosing should be between all the options.
There is not one + another one, but one or another.
Infact I don't think to use the coloured logo plus the scripted logo but only one of them.

If this is for an adult market then I think you may need to reconsider the whole look / style / design. It definitely looks like something aimed at children to me.

The entire project, if I recall correctly, did have a childlike appearance, even if it was for adults.
Not saying that is a bad thing, but I think the logo should be 'A' to match the style of everything else.
I think that I'll use this version for the video game ... maybe.
