Trinity Student Ministries

Brief from client

Something to visually tie together printed handouts (permission slips, calendars, etc.) and t-shirts (camps, retreats, etc.). While items branded with the logo will also be sent to parents and other church members, the logo should primarily appeal to the youth themselves. It should be something they can take ownership of and identify with.

Logo design for a small church student ministry.

I agree. The multiple version thing is ok when you have totally different logos for the same client. And again, it's better not to post too much as the same time so you don't squat the front page that has a limited number of posts.

But when you have different iterations of the same logo, like it's the case here, it's better to male on post and put the alternative versions in the comment section.

Globally these aren't bad logos, I like the fact that you've gone for that trendy sober style. Not something I would attach to any religious organization, but why not, it's pretty new in that context.

I don't like that it's all squeezed into a square. Also, there should be more contrast in size between the word mark and the subtext.

My favorite versions are 3 and 4. I'm not religious at all, but the way I see it, these white triangles could symbolize the father and the son while the green one, pointing from up above symbolizes the holy spirit. I think it works pretty well while still being simple. Kuddos for not putting a cross in there =)

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry about posting all the variations at once. My first time here and didn't know the etiquette. I would remove the variations, but there doesn't seem to be a way to delete them once they've been added.

I like this version the best. The type needs a cleaner solution, I agree. But the triangles are incredibly simple, but the meaning behind them is loud and clear.

You also have a flexible color scheme, but I would pin yourself down with a main color or two. I personally think this would look nice with black/white/teal. But that's just me.

I prefer the grey/green/white version. Part of me prefers the triangles separated, but in the context of trinity...three-in-one...they should probably stay stacked together.
