Brief from client
Should be fun and inviting, and VK should be part of the logo.
Hi,
So this is m first post on the critique section. Basically, I was hoping to get your opinion on this logo i am creating for my friends Pet Sitting Service.
The idea behind it is that it should be fun and inviting. So I tried to anthropomorphize the VK. I experimented with different ideas like negative space, and abstract logos, but my friend really likes the idea of having the VK in the logo. So this is one of my latest versions.
Its black and white now, because as we all know logos can be used in various ways, and on various medium. My friend likes purple, so that can easily be applied to the logo, along with
complimentary colors for the text, like so...

I think the idea is solid, and it is getting close. For me though, I can't help but see a serrated knife coming out of the V. Make it feel more like a tail if thats what it is supposed to be. Also because of the close tangency between the dot on the i and the line in the K for the foot it almost looks like a motion line for a bouncing ball. So I say its going in the right direction, but it needs some retooling.
I think it's hard to tell the VK is an animal. You would be better off by having a straightforward cute dog character. Try to make the VK look more like an animal. I think it can work.
