Ah yes, winter is here... The streets are all wet and cold... Everybody is in a grumpy mood... Well unless you live in Hawaii or Australia, you're weekends are pretty much shot aren't they? So for the rest of us not enjoying the lovely weather of Australia and volcanoes of Hawaii, what else to cheer us up other than the FIRST EVER BRANDSOFTHEWORLD.COM CONTEST!!! **Crowds everywhere cheering - People who have nothing to do with graphic design wondering what the heck all the commotion is about. **

What do you have to do you ask?

To design a fantastic logo design intended for one of the following categories - or one for each category if you have nothing to do on Saturday night:

Online Business
Media Business
Children's business
Food Industry
Best brands of the World new logo

You're absolutely free to take any design direction you wish just keep one thing in mind: The designs have to be unique and not published before. We will unleash Russell Crowe and his Gladiators on you if we find out that you've copied somebody else's work and you will be hated as much as boiled spinach for all eternity to come - not to mention you won't get any prizes too! Designs will be judged on creativity, originality, and presentation. Don't bother trying to bribe us, we're already rich!

Cool! So who's going to judge my work?

Jessica Alba, Carmen Electra, and Pamela Anderson... NOT! All entries will be judged first by community response and non-contest participants, but the final decision will be taken by our panel of expert designers.

Not fair! I'm not a designer but I want a chance to win something too!

Yes, we want you to win too and that's why in our contest everybody is a winner! Everybody who votes on a design will be entered for a random draw to win some serious money too!

Now you're talking! So how much are the prizes? Should I put in my order for a Ferrari now?

Do you want a chauffer with that Ferrari? Keep on dreaming... But seriously, the following are the cool prizes we have to offer:

contest winner: $5000
5 category winners: $1000 (each)
3 voters: $500 (each)

The deadline for submissions is: the 4th of April 2008.

Ok I'm grabbing my sketchbook already, so how do I enter?

First make sure you check the Term Of Use here, this'll make us feel good that we're not paying our high priced lawyers for nothing. If you agree to the Terms Of Use, make sure you have an internet connection and start sketching! Finally, please don't participate if you can't be reached by telephone AND email.
