Unique, 3 colours max
The idea is the letters J, M and A (JMA) shaped to form wave crests.
I'd look for a different typeface, this one somehow doesn't really strike me as car rental-y. But I like it, it's unique indeed.
I like the idea of the waves to represent the letters and a mark for the brand. It does however feel a bit forced. You're in the right track though.
The colors work well as far as the teals/blues and yellow/orange. However, the text is very hard to read. First you might want to make it larger (maybe take it out of the bottom), but most importantly white text on yellow/orange does not have enough contrast. The mockup has the name in black, good, it needs to be a bit darker.
The domain is hard to read, I had a hard time typing it in my browser. One common practice to help with the readability is to bold every other word in the domain. The "I" us quite hard to see.
You're almost there in my opinion, a little more exploration and you nail this one.
When I first looked at this logo, without having read anything beforehand, I thought "vacations", "surf", "beach house", but certainly not "car rental".
I'm the first to say that a logo should be more memorable than informative but not to the point to give a totally misguiding vibe.
The symbol, in and out of itself is pretty good, though.
I don't think you need that yellow/orange part at the bottom. The wordmark is way too contrived and blocky, which makes it uneasy to read. On top of that, it's getting crushed by the symbol. You need to revise the composition here.
