Arkivio

"arkivio" is the name coined by piccorino ottorino and giorgio pellizzaro for the projects and prototypes archive of the Italian design school

a place of worship, where students and companies can peek at the most interesting ideas proposed over many years of activity

drawings, models, prototypes: there is everything in the "arkivio", that is in the school museum itself

and here is the need, desired by small-scale, to represent, in a few signs, the presence of an "important" container (a casket) with an even more valuable content: the historical memory of the school, indispensable for its future

the logo, like many other brands created by piccinato, is enclosed in the classic black frame, and belongs to the series that refers to the study and research on the contour

inside the frame-chest you can find, for those who know the arkivio place, some characteristic and unequivocal elements:

- the red circle and the side cylinder represent the articulation of the pipes present on the ceiling of the various rooms

- the two purple trapezoids represent the vertical walls (in a deliberately skewed perspective) on which the drawings, prints, projects, renderings, etc. are fixed

- the irregular orange shape on the left depicts one of the many drawings attached to the walls

- the red horizontal rectangle is the symbol of all the bases and supports of the various models and prototypes present

- all that remains is the 1: 4 scale model of the minardi formula one; for those with a minimum of familiarity with the single-seaters, the rear wing with the marlboro logo (symbol of the competitions even if it was never present on a minardi), the rear wheel, the airscope (air intake, green) and the side that contains the radiators (yellow shape)

- at the bottom, the irregular blue and green shapes represent the walkable floors, at various levels

- the last surface, in the background (pink), shows the bottom walls, which in reality are all yellow
