The name comes from the Eritrean port of Massaua, the important industrial and commercial junction for the Zimbabwe cotton (planted using traditional and natural techniques), that gives the name to the same Massaua fabric. What was once used for colonial uniforms and fishermen’s clothing, today it is normally employed to produce workwear.
In this logic, the concept of harbor entails a crossroad of cultures and traditions, of styles and people, of goods and situations, and it is at the foundation of this project, a project that wants to translate the nomadism of today’s men into contemporary terms.
Massaua is the essential wardrobe for this sailor always searching for a new harbor.
