Brief from client
we are not an advertising agency! we are a creative group
I am not a professional at all, so my opinion may not matter much. I like the idea, the head seems a little misshapen but could work. I do not care for the white stroke around the head and how it has a drop shadow.
Maybe lose the stroke if you have to add drop shadow.
The font looks good in full color, but not sure if would be readable in all black.
If only our brains would work like that...but sadly they don't.
Your gears are too complex and tiny ones will be lost when you scale this down to minimal size. Right now everything looks too messy.
Skull shape is not smooth enough and, besides, it's shape is more appropriate for describing our Darwinian ancestor 'the Cro-Magnon' then a modern human.
The text is another story. It only works with transparencies applied and that is never a good thing.
How about you push your 'gears' in motion and come up with a different and better solution?
The head is way to big, and it is very awkward looking. Kind of looks like one of the beetles with a big head. Loose the drop shadows. Gears are to big and there are to many gears maybe simplify it some. I actually like what you did with the text, I wouldnt do it to the gears though.
Optimizing the shape of the skull (more real) put only 2 gears (they are sufficient to indicate the movement) to work with black and white. The lettering superimposed monochromatic, but without the transparency will be empty, but maybe the effect will be optical confusion.
Thank you for your feedback. As I said, the logo is still in work, so I will consider all your comments.During the improvements process, would you like me to post it as a reply on this page, or to create a new post?

Looks like Lucy did have a complex brain after all the speculations.
Too many gears that don't look like they are engaged. They should be.
The shadow on the jaw is unnecessary and the overlapped letters wouldn't survive in a transparency-free world.

I always look at what people have designed and try to reduce it down to the base elements.. using what they have provided..
Right now, I would strip the head away.. use one gear as a mark and give the name a clean font and execution.

You'll work more organized if post your new design as version 2
