Mark is intended to symbolize an inverted letter A and a pencil. Reverse the sign looks strange

Thought it looked familiar.

Design companies need logos that emanate 'design' (preferably 'good design'): that doesn't.

You're right it does remind me of Adobe but using a different idea. Therefor it works well for a design company.
