Brief from client 

Personal logo since 2012.

I'm a graphic design student, although I work more on animation.

I work under the name of Xiiram, therefore the logo says Xii.

Based on Mistral font.

What do you think?

Since it only use simple characters, I would go hand lettering all the way. It would be very personal and bit less "lazy" than just using a well known font.

Also, I don't get what this small simple is in the X.

This has potential.

I did it so that the stick of the X would look like a painting brush
