Brief from client 

Need something for a basketball logo. Color Scheme black red and white.

For a traveling basketball team. Was wanting some feedback on it.

This looks like a shirt design rather than a logo.

One thing I will say is the weight of your lines in your symbol (which look like brush presets in Illustrator) is so light that your symbol doesn't command enough attention.

The font isn't anything really special but I suppose it's workable. Oklahoma needs to be centered. It's off to the right currently.

Your concept isn't bad here but I think you should sketch variations and get a feel for this. Right now it isn't very original but if you spend some time with it you might find a grove to run with.

Thanks for the feedback. I did not notice the oklahoma offset. It was supposed to go on a jersey so I guess you could say it was for a t-shirt

I agree with Jon.

The symbol looks totally abstract and random, on top of being too complicated. I see the ball but the right part, I have no idea what it is.

I always advise against substituting a letter with symbol. It's rarely works and this logo is no exception.

Keep it simple. Watch out the proportions of the strokes of the symbol as opposed to the rest (they are way too thing and will be barely discernible)

My advice: make a board with every NBA and NCAA team logos and see how they're made. You'll notice some partners. Use this as an inspiration.

Thanks for the advice! I definitely will go back and rework and take these suggestions into consideration. And I had my doubts about the ball but what it is a basketball exploding and I have had mix reviews if it was readable or not. Thanks again.
