It doesn't feel right. Colors are "hidious", symbol and the soundwaves are overused in these kind of logos.

It might help to know more about the company. What does "zoo" mean or represent? Should there be an emphasis on zoo animals, or the sound itself? It helps to know these kinds of things in the creative process. Needless to say, I think more sketching and more ideas is the best way to move forward. You seem to be stuck on one idea, and as said before the subwoofer idea seems generic and played out. I might try to incorporate a zoo theme in your idea. Try things out.
