Arrtrek Creativa logo design

Brief from client

Arrtrek Creativa is a firm that's into brand identity, web development and the likes. They want a design that centers on some of their core values, so they gave me three words to really focus on and they are: CREATIVITY, DISCOVERIES & DONE. Whatever concepts I come up with for the design should revolve around those words.

After brainstorming for some time I came up with this concept. Branding involves putting together disparate elements together to create a system, the segmented letters represent that idea. I then decided to use a compass needle to depict the idea of all that the branding process does, as a journey of discoveries.

I thought this was a company that sold compasses the first time I looked at this.

I really think the concept needs a ton more work. I'm not seeing anything remotely creative about this.

I'd do a ton more sketches. and when you're tired of sketching. sketch more.

Doing 2 seconds of research showed that there is already a design company called "artek creative", who made a gaming styled, graphically minimal version of AC that I think works.

Arrtreck is not a great word with 2 Rs. and hard to say, at least in English. And since Artek is taken (which BTW the logo looks really similar to Adobe's logo) Maybe you should point that to the client?

The logo itself is not bad IMO, I would get rid of the compass, even though you are trying to convey a sense of Discovery, it's just that the arrows and swish will get lost when small.
