Sorry, it's not working for me. The numbers aren't readable enough, and the font is very basic, lacking character. To be honest, I don't really understand the name either, but that's a separate issue. Instead of "hip-hop," I just think "hipster."

So, seeing as you're not a designer, I'll put it to you this way. Logo design is a lot more complex than it seems. There are a lot of practices and habits that are learned through experience that don't seem obvious, so it's hard to provide helpful feedback without hand holding. We often tell newer designers to start with a sketch process. It helps a TON, because drawing with a pencil is far more natural than drawing with a mouse. And just sketch your arm off, until you've come up with 3-4 ideas that you like. Then, translate those ideas to the computer.

Another step I would suggest is to research competitors. See what people are doing in a similar market. Discover what things work, and figure out what to do to make your brand stand out among the rest in a cool and unique way.

Finally, research fonts. The ones on your computer are very commonplace, mostly because they come pre-installed and used by many people because of how accessible they are. This includes Arial, Times New Roman, Helvetica, Franklin Gothic, Trajan, etc. Fontsquirrel.com and 1001Fonts.com are some free sources, but quality fonts usually cost you.

Best of luck. Welcome to the hair-pulling logo industry!

It reads "ZA2" to me. I don't think its recognizable without already knowing the name- could be in part that the 7 and 4 completely overlap and the 2 is just beside them. Either way, sorry but this does not have a "hip, cool, sick"vibe as you say, and looks like it was created in 5 minutes...maybe even less... and using a boring standard font.

It doesn't read anything for me, unfortunately. It just characters put on top of each other.

This was made pretty quickly and it shows. To make a good logo, there's no two ways around it: hard work and time spent on research and sketching. Like, a lot of it.
