Brief from client

A police unit in a local town that assists victims of Domestic Violence. Client wanted to use the purple ribbon

Looking for feedback. I know the ribbon needs a little work still but wanted to get feedback on everything else: colors, fonts, idea etc

That font is pretty darn bad, I'd definitely go with something else without the varying heights and weights in type like that, it's strange. The ribbon does need work, but one of the big things I noticed was that at smaller sizes you lose the entire logo and it looks like a ribbon with a green fire coming out of it or something. I like the feel you're trying to achieve with this, I'd just suggest some more sketches to really tighten the idea up.

Oh man, yeah- that font has to change! That super thin font isn't doing you any favors- it needs to be a stronger font that's easier to read.

I like the colors and the idea is swell, but the symbol is a little cluttered and could use some simplifying.

Overall, DEFinitely change the font, simplify the symbol and you're on your way!!

For a while I thought this was some sort of beauty contest logo, i thought it was a crown with emerald jewels, and thought it is somehow juvenile.
Then I read the part of domestic violence, and sort of got in shock, I went to read the description and it kind of made sense. I would probably play with the way the ribbon hugs the family, and definitely the font needs to be a bit more serious, less playful.
