Ooooooh boy. Where to start, where to start. This is probably going to sound terrible no matter what, so I may as well just give it a go.
This is pretty bad. It's confusing, it's too busy, it's trying to do too many things at the same time. The D might work, but with all of the other elements tossed in it just gets lost. And it looks as though you're trying to use the J as a T as well, which is no good- it doesn't come across at all.
I don't see DJ Tee here at all, I see a d and two e's. The J is way too thin, ill proportioned, and the whole thing is just a muddled mess. I'm really not trying to be a total b!tch here, but I would sincerely just start over. Don't use the J as a T, it clearly doesn't work. It's horrendously confusing. If you really want to combine the text in some way, keep trying other options.
I think you should completely start over, try new ideas. Talk to the guy you're making this for and see what elements of his dj'ing he thinks are the best or something. Just get some ideas rolling around your head and start fresh!

agree 100 percent with the above...
Yes — I would start again, because it just isn't legible. Way too confusing when a logo should be simplicity itself.
