Brief from client
This is a logo for a Caribbean Festival in Maple Ridge. The client's current "logo" (I think it's a poster) can be seen at http://www.caribbeanfest.ca. I put together a simple, clean design that could be used for his advertisements.

Is it hand lettering ot did you use an existing font? If so, which one?
Anyway, it's simple and nice.
I used Lavanderia as a basis and made a few edits to make it more ribbon-looking.

Good work on the alterations, the come out really nicely.
I love it, except it doesn't say anything Carribean to me.
It's simple but I like it! Have you considered making "festival" a slightly lighter blue color- maybe it would help make it look more 'Caribbean'!?
Yeah. I made a small colour scheme that changes according to the contrast on the background image in their banner ads. The colours (aside from the dark and light blues) are pulled from the fruits in this first ad.
Dude, I have to say it again, I love your logo.
