Design idea from customer requirements in branding identity
This Idea is too generic when using the words Xchange, it would fit in but would be too much of a cliche. Has been used time and time again. The colours could be more attractive or bold and the typeface could also be a bit more original.
Yep, I agree with the above... I'd like to know more about the Grain Xchange. Seems like an old school picture graphic mark- retro styling would work. But, I can't be certain without knowing what it is you are dealing with.
Right now, it's sorta been there done that, blah. So, sorry.. back to the drawing board.
THis does not work at all. Abusing 'x' to make a graphic play in the logo has been done billion of times and just in few cases it had some sort of meaning that can be justified.
In your case I don't see anything good, creative or pleasing.
It reads like "grain change".
It is always entertaining to read the comments, unfortunately this is what the customer wanted and the colors they require, hence the "branding" comment. Thanks

Good execution though.

Well, now you have some very good arguments to prove your client that what he/she wants won't work for branding.
