Brief from client
creation of my own logo that represents me as a graphic designer
The "J" and "C" are the initials of my name and are connected in order to become one letter. The colors are cheerful and reflect my personality
I guess this is okay... The gradient is a little ... I dunno... Possibly unnecessary? Could you try one that's just one solid color? Just to see how it looks?
The one thing that I would definitely change is the subtext. If those are your initials, why would you have an ampersand between your first and last name? That makes it sound like you're two people.
Also, I would do something else with the font of the subtext- maybe have it all capitalized and play around with other fonts? The lower case letters don't look right to me. I assume you have it centered with the JC but for some reason it still looks off.
Sara hit the nail on the head. Your brief says the JC are your initials, yet you use an ampersand as if J and C are 2 different people. Which is it? I'd absolutely remove the gradation. Blends like that can always cause havoc when printing and again, you have to consider the cost involved in printing a 4-colour logo for your clients. The logo could EASILY work as 1 or 2 colours and then save your client a bunch in printing costs. Try some different colours or just go with one. Either will work without a doubt.
Regardless of my criticisms...... I really do like the symbol and look a lot!
