Brief from client
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your icon design?
1. Kuarel = Quarrel / Fight / Argument / Dispute / Competition
2. Fun
3. Social

This is a tough one.
I don't think this overlapping speech bubbles work.
The whole thing does not look as fun, it somehow looks very sterile and uninviting.
I would definitely think about a different approach and try to make icon & 'quarrel' look more playful.

I think you can avoid the Chat Bubbles with this, try other ways of doing this. I see the concept of the chat bubbles and "quarrel" going on but if you posted and knew about the bubbles being overused, i would've tried a different approach. my opinion. you definitely can be playful with the type.
Yeah- I knew that would get brought up ; )-
I almost quoted myself in the description- but let it fly----
I thought it was different enough that it worked in this case.
That's why it's posted here - to be critiqued. If I was certain it was successful it wouldn't be here....You and Splash are definitely correct in it's lack of playfulness. I should have gone the other way with the type. Should have slept on it too- I realized it was the wrong font in the morning : P -
Thanks for the comment. I'll post a new version soon.
Cheers.
Reminds me of a Venn Diagram.
I don't know but if you want to bring (A)Competition, (B)Fun, and (C)Social you could represent it with a Venn Diagram.That would be (A U B U C)
So you intersect Competition, Fun, and Social to find common ground
Just a crazy idea.
I mean, use the bubbles like Venn diagrams.
I actually had to look up the term : )- trivia boy... But it's a good idea and would lighten it up- thanks!
