It could be great but the symbol is really killing the brand name. Especially with this ultra conventional basic boring font.
This splash is eye catchy because of the colors but since it doesn't have a shape it would be pretty difficult to use it in many cases as a logo. Also it wouldn't work in a 1 color version. The text is to small compared to the symbol and that underlineing is annoying. I'd personally accept the font type for an art gallery but it's too strict for a design studio.
I actually like the font but as the others said, your symbol is jarring. Maybe try using just ONE or TWO splashes of color, as we will already get that its art-related, and its kind of banging us on the head with all your splashes, coming out a a little clich'e.
I have an idea you can try as well, maybe take a splotch or two, put them in the center, and then have the words "Micro" in the middle of it in WHITE. You can then have "design studio" underneath the symbol and will save you having to use an underline.

Okay, my opinion about this, is, the symbol is too big, the idea could be really good, but you have to work a lot in some ideas with it.
Also, if reduced in size, all the colors, shades and brushed shapes will be hard to manage.
I can't concentrate on anything other than how bad the font choice is. Terrible, terrible font choice. It's too thin, too unassuming, to plain, and did I mention too thin!? It's also way too small- which makes the logo look way too big. And I'd also take the line off- there's no need for it.
So the symbol might be fine, but pretty please pick a better (stronger) font, make it a lot bigger (like "Micra" could be just as wide as the symbol, OR you could even put "Micra Studio" on one line and have that kerned out to be just as wide as the symbol- maybe use black for Micra and gray for Studio to separate them!?) and then upload a new one!

Is the white area in the center a map or something? Looks a bit like the UK. It's a good idea, but there is too much of it.
