Scrap the distortion, the Papyrus, the chrome, the inconsistent line thickness; make the RA bigger and you'll have a pretty dull but unobjectionable logo.
The below is hardly very impressive, but it might be the direction you want to go in.
(Aside from that, I actually don't hate the chalk-y look of the main text, but the dot of the 'i' has to go, the underline should go, and yes the line around everything needs to be the same thickness all around!)

Cardinal rule of designing anything:
NEVER use Papyrus!
NEVER use Comic Sans!
